DEWALT FENCING STAPLER v MILWAUKEE FENCING STAPLER

DeWalt fencing stapler (DCFS950) v Milwaukee fencing stapler (M18-FFUS)

Both these fencing staplers fire a 9 gauge staple. The DeWalt staples have an omega shaped crown, so rounded and very slightly bulbous. The Milwaukee staples are more of a roof shaped crown. Not much between them but The DeWalt is much closer in shape to Stockade fencing staples.

Both staplers use 18v li-ion batteries, the DeWalt full kit comes with 2x 5.Ah lithium batteries, a charger and carry case. The Milwaukee full kit comes with 2x 3.0Ah lithium batteries, a charger and carry case.

The DeWalt is just that, a battery operated only tool, using a patented flywheel system. That is not quite the case with the Milwaukee, this stapler has a fixed refillable cartridge which has to be refuelled with a form of gas every 20-30,000 shots and that needs to be done by the MW Service Centres.

The Milwaukee tool appears to be quicker, due to the gas system but it really is only minimal when fixing 5 strands of wire on a post, but it has gained a reputation for being quicker.

The DeWalt has 3 depth and power settings so if you need a harder punch you have more flexibility on The DeWalt, but really only useful when perhaps you are using 45MM or 50MM staples.

Both tools come with extended warranties. They come with 1 year as standard, and if you register on their websites within 30 days of purchase you can extend for 2 extra years. We would say that is very worthwhile.

Weight of Milwaukee Stapler 4.445kg

Weight of DeWalt Fencing Stapler 4.1kg
